Features
A useful new tab,
from the first click.
Octane keeps the small things you reach for every day in one calm place, then gives you a separate workspace when it is time to focus.
01: Start
The information you need before you move.
See the time, local weather and today’s tasks without opening another page. Search the web with your preferred engine and keep frequently used sites within reach.
- Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo and Brave Search
- Weather with metric or imperial units
- To-do list and custom shortcuts
02: Focus
A separate place for deliberate work.
Choose a task, set focus and break lengths, then start a session. Octane records completed focus minutes for today and the last seven days.
- Custom focus and break timers
- Today and seven-day activity
- SoundCloud playlist support
- Session-based website blocking
03: Organize
Useful tools, kept out of the way.
Open Notes, Chrome bookmarks, Website Blocker and Focus Mode from one compact tools menu. Google Services gives common Google apps their own searchable directory.
- Local notes for quick writing
- Search, add, edit and remove Chrome bookmarks
- Reusable website blocking list with individual toggles
04: Personalize
Make the dashboard feel like your space.
Use a full-resolution background, choose a colour and control where that theme appears. The original theme and remove-theme actions make it easy to return.
- Unsplash and custom backgrounds
- Adjustable blur and interface colour
- Separate controls for the to-do and weather areas
